A Letter from
The Founder
I started Palo Alto Networks twenty years ago by moving security to the cloud. That choice reshaped the industry.
I’m starting Cylake by moving it back. For the organizations that were never allowed to follow: the governments, the banks, the operators of critical infrastructure whose data cannot leave their control. They have been defended with fragmented legacy security stacks for two decades, and AI just rewrote the rules for what defense requires.
So we are building the whole thing again, from the metal up, on their premises this time.
People call that radical. I think leaving the most important networks on earth with the weakest defenses was the radical choice.
